The Xciting is a comfortable sailboat build by X-yachts. The AGM batteries were getting old and were due for replacement.
The old batteries were replaced for two 12V 200Ah batteries. The reduces size of these batteries freed up an entire compartment under the couch which could now be used for additional storage.
The power from the alternator could be limited using a special BMS with this functionality. A separate bow thruster battery was also placed to ensure maximum reliability all the time.
